In addition to adding Majeed Brigade as an alias to the BLA’s already-existing specifically designated global terrorist (SDGT) classification, Pakistan on Tuesday applauded the United States’ decision to name the BLA and Majeed Brigade as Foreign Terrorist Organizations.
Pakistan has prohibited Majeed Brigade as a terrorist organization since July 18, 2024, according to a statement released by the Foreign Affairs Minister.
“BLA/Majeed Brigade is involved in multiple terrorist attacks in Pakistan, including the heinous Jaffer Express terrorist incident and Khuzdar bus attack that resulted in the loss of precious lives,” the statement from the Foreign Office stated.
