LAHORE: At the Gaddafi Stadium on Thursday, the Karachi Kings defeated the Multan Sultans by 87 runs in the 20th game of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10.
Multan’s dreadful start came when captain Mohammad Rizwan was removed by Abbas Afridi with the score at just 3-1 after falling for a second-ball duck in the second over while chasing a mammoth goal of 205. Usman Khan, the wicketkeeper-batter, was dismissed for just one run by Mir Hamza’s strike in the following over.
Yasir Khan, who briefly resisted with a 26-run knock off 17 balls, became the third wicket to go inside the powerplay as the Sultans’ top order collapsed under duress, leaving the team floundering at 34-3 in 4.2 overs.
