In a phone call with a senior US official, Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar stated that Pakistan is looking for deep and lasting relationships with the US under President Donald Trump’s administration.
According to a statement released by the Foreign Office on Wednesday, US National Security Advisor Michael Waltz called Deputy PM Dar on March 4 (Tuesday) to express President Trump’s gratitude and congratulate the Pakistani government for its counterterrorism efforts.
The FO statement was released just hours after President Trump declared the arrest of the Daesh agent suspected of masterminding the 2021 suicide attack near Kabul airport amid the chaotic US military withdrawal.
