Islamabad has vehemently refuted Indian accusations that Pakistan carried out assaults in Srinagar, Jaisalmer, and Pathankot, describing the accusations as “politically motivated” and “baseless and irresponsible.”
Islamabad said in a statement issued by the Foreign Office on Friday that India’s charges were a part of a “reckless propaganda campaign” intended to harm Pakistan’s reputation and inflame regional tensions.
“The repeated pattern of levelling accusations against Pakistan without any credible investigation reflects a deliberate strategy to manufacture a pretext for aggression and to further destabilise the region,” the statement continues.
Islamabad referred to India’s May 8 attacks on Pakistan and AJK as a “blatant act of war” during the dark hours of the day.
