NEW YORK: Congressman Tom Suozzi, the head of the Pakistan Caucus in the United States Congress, has voiced concerns over the current political climate in the US under the administration of President Donald Trump.
In a recent interview with Jang, Suozzi addressed the anxieties within the Pakistan-American community and other immigrant groups, attributing this “uncertainty” to President Trump’s immigration policies and other activities.
He thinks that the situation will not last long.
“President Trump’s popularity is not very high. Republicans have a majority of only a few seats in the House of Representatives and a majority of only one or two seats in the Senate,” he said.
