Sammi Deen Baloch, the leader of the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC), was arrested again by police on Tuesday after a judge ordered her and the other defendants to leave the court grounds.
The BYC continued to demonstrate against the arrest of its leadership in Balochistan, but Karachi police used force to break up the demonstration and arrested Sammi and several others for breaching Section 144 a day earlier.
But as soon as she was released, police tried to take her back, and the attorneys in the courtroom resisted. The Baloch leader was taken from the court grounds shortly after and placed in a 30-day jail sentence under the Maintenance of Public Order (MPO).
