The most recent installment of the martial arts film series features Jackie Chan and Ralph Macchio training a new karate youngster by combining fighting tactics.
Ben Wang plays Beijing kung fu master Li Fong in this week’s movie, Karate Kid: Legends. He and his mother go to New York, where he makes friends with Victor, a retired boxer and proprietor of a pizza place, and his daughter Mia.
Li enters a karate tournament and starts practicing with his former kung fu instructor Mr. Han, played by Chan, and Macchio’s Daniel LaRusso, the lead character in the original 1984 movie The Karate Kid, who learned karate from mentor Mr. Miyagi, after that friendship annoys a local karate champion.
