The Met Office predicts that Karachi will have extreme heat today, with highs of 38 degrees Celsius and a heat index that could feel as high as 45 degrees Celsius.
According to the Met Office, there will be strong sunshine all day long and some restriction of sea breezes, which will raise the temperature and humidity levels.
Over the next 24 hours, the temperature is expected to stay quite hot and muggy.
Although the city’s current temperature is 34 degrees Celsius, the heat index is 38 degrees Celsius.
With reported humidity levels of 60%, winds are blowing from the west at 17 km/h.
