According to its 2024 Private Sector Operations Report on Development Effectiveness, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) pledged $2.6 billion in funding for a record 58 private sector transactions in 2024, a 45% increase from the year before.
An unprecedented $8 billion was committed in programs, projects, and cofinance, highlighting ADB’s expanding role in promoting innovation and growth led by the private sector throughout Asia and the Pacific.
In 2024, long-term cofinance with private partners totaled $3.6 billion, which included $7.4 million from ADB Ventures, $0.2 billion from the Microfinance Program’s long-term cofinance, and $3.4 billion from project cofinance.
