SLAMABAD: Five distinct weather systems are predicted to cause thunderstorms, high winds, hailstorms, and heavy rainfall throughout the nation, with Islamabad and Rawalpindi likely to experience the worst conditions, the National Emergencies Operations Centre (NEOC) has warned.
All provincial and district authorities have been advised by the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) to maintain disaster readiness, be vigilant, and work with local response units to take prompt action. The Authority will keep an eye on the developing circumstances and provide frequent updates.
In light of the persistent bad weather, a public advisory has also been released, asking people to use caution. Avoid needless travel, especially in mountainous or flood-prone locations, and protect trees, electricity lines, solar panels, and other vulnerable infrastructure.
