Iran stated on Wednesday that if an agreement is made with the United States, it would think about letting US inspectors from the UN nuclear watchdog visit its sites.
Western nations have long accused Iran of attempting to create nuclear weapons, a charge Tehran has repeatedly refuted, maintaining that its nuclear program is only being pursued for peaceful, civilian purposes.
The problem has been the subject of five rounds of discussions between Tehran and Washington in recent weeks. This is the highest level of engagement between the two countries since the US withdrew from the 2015 nuclear agreement during Donald Trump’s first term in 2018.
