ISLAMABAD: Despite recent tensions in the region, the country is commemorating Eid ul Adha today with typical religious fervor, serious devotion, and a restored sense of solidarity.
Being the first Eid since the current nuclear-armed stalemate between India and Pakistan, the holiday carries a more powerful message of compassion, peace, and togetherness than ever before.
Special Eid prayers were held at mosques, Eidgahs, and other places throughout the nation to start the day. Collective prayers were made by worshippers for the welfare of the Muslim Ummah as well as for peace, development, and prosperity in Pakistan and the surrounding area.
Religious experts discussed the Prophet Ibrahim’s (AS) and Prophet Ismail’s (AS) lasting legacy in their sermons.
