ISLAMABAD In separate phone conversations on Saturday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif wished leaders throughout the Muslim world a very happy Eid ul Adha.
According to a statement released by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), the premier sent Eid greetings and best wishes to Qatar Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and the “brotherly people of Qatar” in an interview.
He expressed gratitude to the Qatari Amir for his “proactive diplomacy” and helpful contribution to lowering tensions between India and Pakistan during the most recent crisis.
He especially praised the role performed by Qatar’s foreign minister and prime minister, and Al-Thani for his phone call during the height of the crisis.
