With effect from June 20, 2025, Pakistan Railways has announced a price hike for its saloon coaches, freight services, and fast trains.
A spokeswoman stated that freight train fares will increase by 4%, while express train and saloon fares will increase by 3%.
Railway officials said the fee revision, which has been formally announced, is meant to balance growing operating costs and provide more funding for service enhancements.
