According to one observer, Prince William appeared “sad and subdued” on the second day of Royal Ascot without his wife, Princess Kate.
The Princess of Wales will not be riding in the four royal carriages that comprise the Royal Procession, it was revealed earlier today. Instead, Prince Saud bin Khalid Al-Saud, King Charles, and Queen Camilla accompanied William in the first carriage.
Judi James told the newspaper: “While his father, the King, chatted happily to their guest in the carriage, using some animated, good-humoured body language displays, William seemed to sit back quietly with a slightly slumped posture, looking subdued and rather reflective without Kate at his side.”
