Following a massive Iranian missile barrage that hit multiple Israeli cities, including the Soroka Medical Center in Be’er Sheva, Israel Katz, Israel’s defense minister, said Thursday that Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei “can no longer be allowed to exist” and likened him to a “modern Hitler.”
With both parties exchanging allegations and intensifying punitive measures, the most recent escalation represents a critical turning point in the continuing confrontation.
Katz stated, “Khamenei publicly states that he wants Israel destroyed — he personally gives the order to fire on hospitals,” while standing at a missile impact location in Holon, close to Tel Aviv. We cannot permit such a man to continue to exist.
