ISLAMABAD According to the recommendation of the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), the departing caretaker administration has increased the price of gasoline by Rs13.55 per liter for the upcoming two weeks.
Given the ongoing tensions in the Middle East and Israel’s continued aggression towards Gaza, the most recent price increase makes sense. The revised POL rates take effect at midnight on February 1.
According to the Finance Division’s statement, “the Government of Pakistan has decided to bring changes in the current prices of petroleum products during the fortnight starting from 1st February 2024, as recommended by OGRA.”
