Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has referred to the meeting between President Donald Trump and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir at the White House as a “significant milestone” and urged Pakistan to take advantage of the chance for regional improvement.
Asif stated on the news show “Aaj Sath” that the bilateral relations between the United States and Pakistan had never been this warm.
The defense czar acknowledged that military links had a significant impact on relations between the two nations when asked if the US has always seen Pakistan through a national security lens.
Asif declared that he would support more expansive ties that cover trade and other domains.
