KARACHI: According to police, the tragic number of people killed in serious traffic accidents in Karachi this year has now reached 138 after a fatal collision with a water truck on Tuesday.
The most recent incidence happened in Landhi, close to the Future Mor, where a water tanker struck and killed Muhammad Fasih, a motorcyclist.
As soon as the collision occurred, the tanker truck’s driver left the scene, leaving the car behind. Authorities later confirmed that the driver had been arrested as the police immediately began a search.
This most recent occurrence highlights the growing concern for road safety in Karachi by contributing to the increasing number of fatalities from heavy vehicle accidents.
