Maulana Hidayat ur Rehman, a member of the Balochistan Assembly, has confirmed to the police that his missing son has safely returned to his Gwadar house.
Abdul Basit has now been reunited with his family after going missing yesterday from the Saudabad neighborhood of Malir, Karachi. In response to a complaint from Abdul Basit’s grandfather, Muhammad Adam, police have filed a missing person’s case at the Saudabad Police Station.
According to the complaint, his two grandsons, Abdul Wahab and Abdul Basit, were enrolled in a Saudabad madrassa. According to reports, seventh-grader Abdul Basit was experiencing mental stress as a result of his studies in the madrassa and had been expressing a wish to leave.
