As Persian music blares, the throng wave Iranian, Israeli, and American flags and dance. The sound of car horns in LA’s congested traffic is both encouraging and annoying.
Although protests outside the West LA Federal Building are frequent, this one is unique even by LA standards. It is taking place in front of armed US Marines, who were controversially sent there by President Trump amid demonstrations against immigration sweeps.
However, these immigrants are openly wearing MAGA caps to show their support for President Trump’s decision to use airstrikes against Iranian nuclear sites in order to intervene in the Israel-Iran dispute.
