The interior minister reported that a Russian missile and drone attack in the Kyiv region early on Monday morning had killed at least nine persons and injured a number more.
Ihor Klymenko said in a social media post that hospitals, sports facilities, and residential areas had been affected.
According to Vitali Klitschko, the mayor of Kyiv, at least six of the fatalities occurred in a high-rise structure in the city. According to the city’s military government, 33 more persons were hurt.
The Ukrainian air force reported that 16 missiles and 352 Russian drones targeted Ukrainian land in the most recent round of attacks, primarily in the Kyiv region.
