LAHORE: Rain-related occurrences in Punjab between June 25 and June 28 resulted in at least 14 fatalities, including three women and five children, and 43 injuries.
According to data made public by the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), 14 districts reported casualties as the province was hit by strong winds, lightning, thunderstorms, and torrential downpours.
Two guys drowned in a rainwater nullah, one person died from electrocution, and most of the deaths were caused by roof and wall collapses brought on by severe rain.
According to Rescue 1122, four people were injured and two individuals killed in the Abbas Nagar neighborhood of Lahore. Two people were killed by lightning strikes, one in Khanewal and one in Okara.
