PESHAWAR/SWAT: In the wake of the terrible tragedy that claimed the lives of eleven members of a Sialkot family, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa administration has made the decision to begin a large-scale operation against unlawful structures constructed along and within the Swat River.
Four people were rescued, but two are still being sought.
The event happened when a sudden rush in water carried 17 members of a Sialkot family away during a picnic near the Swat River. Several were swept away by the powerful current despite prompt rescue efforts.
The search and rescue operation has been going on for more than twenty-four hours and is currently covering Khwazakhela, Kabal Bypass, and Barikot, according to the Director General of Rescue 1122.
