Field Marshal Asim Munir, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), swore on Saturday that all terrorists, their enablers, and their abettors will be hunted down and brought to justice, no matter what.
The army chief’s comments followed the deaths of up to 13 Pakistan Army personnel in the North Waziristan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) after an Indian-sponsored militants’ truck carrying explosives crashed into a security forces vehicle.
The field marshal was given a thorough briefing on the current security situation and ongoing counterterrorism operations during his visit to the Corps Headquarters in Peshawar today.
In addition to visiting the injured at Bannu CMH and attending Shuhada’s funeral at Bannu Garrison, the army commander also read a statement released by the ISPR during the visit.
