SWAT: In an effort to restore the Swat River’s natural flow, the district administration in Swat began a massive operation on Sunday to tear down unauthorized buildings along the river.
Following the horrific event where a sudden surge in water took away 17 persons during a picnic by the Swat River, the local government acted quickly.
Following the recovery of a child’s body from the river in Charsadda, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the number of fatalities in the Sunday event increased to twelve.
