ISLAMABAD Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi, the chief of staff of Iran’s armed forces, thanked Pakistan on Sunday for its assistance during the recent Israeli-Iranian military skirmishes, which Tehran has described as an unjustified act of aggression.
Iran’s national news agency IRNA said that the Iranian military head said these things over the phone with Field Marshal Asim Munir, head of Army Staff (COAS).
Throughout the discussion, Major Gen. Mousavi praised Islamabad’s moral position and solidarity with Tehran amid what he called a “12-day imposed war” that Israel started with help from its partners in the West.
He pointed out that there were notable Iranian losses in the battle, including the martyrdom of top leaders.
