ISLAMABAD: Following the Permanent Court of Arbitration’s (PCA) “supplemental award” in the case, Pakistan has urged India to fully and faithfully fulfill its obligations under the Indus Waters Treaty (IWT), which it has been holding in abeyance since May.
The Court hearing the Pakistan-India dispute over the Kishenganga and Ratle hydroelectric projects has determined that its competence is still intact and that it has an ongoing obligation to move these proceedings along in a timely, effective, and equitable manner, according to a supplemental award announced on June 27, 2025, the Foreign Office (FO) said in a statement.
“The Court of Arbitration decided to announce this supplemental award in the wake of India’s” statement.
