Hwang Dong-hyuk, the creator of Squid Game, has responded to the speculation that the show may get a spin-off in the USA.
He openly discussed Cate Blanchett’s involvement as a recruiter in the final scene of Squid Game season 3 in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.
Fans subsequently believed that her appearance was intended to establish a spinoff series with a US focus.
“I purposefully left room for more stories to come, so I didn’t end it on that note. “The Games in Korea are over because of Gi-hun and Front Man,” Dong-hyuk retorted.
“And because I wanted to address issues regarding the system that is created in late capitalism and the limitless competition when I started this story,” he said.
