Fans of The Last of Us were left wondering what will happen to Ellie in season two.
However, the wait to discover out this has just been lengthened, as in a recent interview, HBO and Max content chief Casey Bloys announced that season three will not arrive until 2027.
The executive told Variety that the series was “definitely planned for 2027.” Craig is still determining if there will be two additional seasons or just one extended season. I’m taking Craig’s lead on that, as it hasn’t been decided yet.
According to his remarks, Chernobyl creator Craig Mazin will continue the series after co-creator Neil Druckmann left the project.
