LONDON: In order to see her sister receiving cancer treatment in London, well-known Pakistani performer Meera has urged Pakistan High Commissioner to the UK Jane Marriott to evaluate her application for a visa to the UK “on merit.”
This week, Meera submitted her application for a UK visa. Geo News reported in January of this year that the UK immigration authorities had prohibited Meera’s admission into the country for ten years. The prohibition is now lifted.
“I ask that the UK authorities consider my case based on its merits. Due to a misunderstanding, I was unable to obtain a UK visa. My home is in London and my family lives there. My sister is a cancer patient.
