Despite recent price increases, the federal government has chosen to maintain the petroleum development charge on gasoline and diesel at its current level.
According to sources, the diesel duty would remain at Rs74.51 per litre, while the petrol levy will remain at Rs75.52 per litre.
According to officials, the goal of the decision is to preserve revenue continuity.
