The Naibabad-Kharlachi Railway Corridor Framework Agreement was signed in Kabul by Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Uzbekistan in a historic step to improve regional connectivity.
The deal is a major step in the construction of a railway link that will travel via Afghanistan to link Pakistani seaports with Central Asia.
Ishaq Dar, the foreign minister and deputy prime minister of Pakistan, was in Kabul when the signing ceremony was held. Hanif Abbasi, the Federal Minister for Railways, and the special representative for Afghanistan accompanied him.
