During his official visit to the United States, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), held high-level meetings with key military and political figures, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement on Sunday.
COAS Munir is in the United States on an official visit and met with members of the Pakistani diaspora, according to the military’s media wing.
The press statement stated that the COAS was present at the Change of Command Ceremony in Tampa, which marked Admiral Brad Cooper’s assumption of command, as well as the retirement ceremony of General Michael E. Kurilla, the departing Commander of United States Central Command (Centcom).
General Kurilla’s outstanding leadership and significant contributions to enhancing bilateral military cooperation were praised by the COAS.
