The usage of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s royal titles and insignia on their new Sussex website, which was unveiled to the public on Monday, quickly provoked criticism.
It appears that Markle, who has known the website’s designers for years, is standing up for them despite the backlash.
“There is a reason I have worked with Ryan and the talented team at Article for a decade: their attention to detail, their creativity and care, and the thoughtful approach to design as well as to the user experience,” Markle stated in a testimonial on the website for the digital agency Article.
Using royal titles on the new Sussex website has Prince Harry and Meghan Markle under fire.
Prior to becoming engaged to Harry, in the months leading up to her 2014 shutdown of her lifestyle site The Tig , Markle had previously collaborated with the brand on projects.
“They’re not just designers; they are collaborators who elevate your ideas into visual identities,” she went on to say. “They are a truly unique firm. I’m a fan since they’re Canadian as well.”
