The London headquarters is set to lose about 270 positions.
It follows the troubled retailer’s admission into administration last week, which endangered over 2,000 employment.
In the UK, The Body Shop has about 200 stores.
However, administrators claimed that following “years of unprofitability,” the brand’s current portfolio is “no longer viable.”
According to the administrators, “more than half” of the 198 locations will stay open, validating reports from News.
There will be about 400 full-time employees remaining after about 270 head office jobs—roughly 40% of the roles—are eliminated.
In order to support a smaller firm, the closures come after The Body Shop’s prior sale of its businesses in portions of Asia and continental Europe.
