Earlier in the day, tens of thousands of US cell phone users experienced outages.
The outage tracking website Downdetector.com displayed complaints of no signal or no service after 4:00 EST (9:30 GMT).
Customers were apologized to by AT&T, which also stated that by early afternoon, all services had been restored.
The business released a statement saying, “We are taking steps to ensure our customers do not experience this again in the future.”
Investigating the cause of the outage is underway.
The news was informed by other companies, such as Verizon and T-Mobile, that their networks were running normally.
However, according to both carriers, customers had probably reported service problems after attempting in vain to get in touch with other provider’s customers.
According to Downdetector, AT&T customer complaints peaked at slightly over 74,000, with hotspots in the east and south.
Customers of two other minor carriers, UScellular and Consumer Cellular, as well as Cricket Wireless, experienced service outages.
The majority of the complaints indicated poor service or no signal, and they included problems with calls, messages, and internet access.
