Tyler Wilson, a left fielder for the Grand Canyon Lopes, crushed a game-winning home run against the Nebraska Cornhuskers on Sunday, but he was unable to stay to watch the outcome.
In the fifth inning’s bottom half, Wilson blasted a grand slam that tied the score. He flung his bat up in the air as he trotted to first base. Wilson, nevertheless, was dismissed from the game due to the bat flip.
Grand Canyon head coach Gregg Wallis stated on the school website that “the thing that we didn’t like was after (the grand slam) tied it, we worked really hard and took great swings to tie the game.”
