Ariana Grande recently confessed that she had no intentions to record new songs until the SAG-AFTRA strike, which inspired her and led to her upcoming album, endless sunshine.
On the most recent episode of the Zach Sang Show, Grande stated, “I did not intend to [create new songs now.] I didn’t set out to compose an album.
“I was initially reluctant to releasing music until after Wicked, either in both parts or just one. “I wasn’t sure how I’d feel,” the God Is A Woman hitmaker admitted.
However, when the historic WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes hampered the production of her film, Wicked, Grande went off to New York City, where she hooked up with producer, Max Martin.
“It all just kind of started pouring out and after our first week together I kept coming to the studio every day by myself, and it just kinda kept organically happening that way, so I just decided to react and listen to that and I thought maybe it should come out if it’s coming out of me this way,” she added.
Ariana Grande’s seventh studio album, named Eternal Sunshine, is her first after a three and a half-year break.
