According to reports on Sunday, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s opposition parties have moved into the last stage of talks aimed at bringing about a political upheaval in the province, which is dominated by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
To discuss ways to topple the PTI government, Governor KP Faisal Karim Kundi, Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan Amir Muqam, and Prime Minister’s adviser on interior affairs Pervez Khattak had a number of informal meetings.
According to reports, JUI-F president Maulana Fazlur Rehman also participated in the informal talks, which included a gathering at Khattak’s home where political figures had come to express their condolences on his sister’s passing.
