The actor Charlie Griffin from “Wicked Tuna” passed away in a boating accident, the news informed.
In a joint statement sent to News on Tuesday, the group said, “We were saddened to learn that Wicked Tuna: Outer Banks cast member Captain Charlie ‘Griff’ Griffin passed away this week after a shipwreck unrelated to the series.”
“Charlie was the captain of the fishing vessel Reels of Fortune and appeared on Wicked Tuna: Outer Banks seasons two through five, fishing side by side with his only child, Jake,” the statement said. Everyone knew Charlie as a passionate fisherman with a huge heart. We join Charlie’s friends, co-stars, and family.
