A non-profit organization that represents bitcoin companies, the Crypto Open Patent Alliance (Copa), filed a lawsuit against Dr. Craig Wright for allegedly being Satoshi.
“Dr. Wright has consistently failed to supply genuine proof of his claim to be Satoshi; instead, he has repeatedly proffered documents that bear clear signs of having been doctored,” Copa’s attorney, Jonathan Hough KC, stated in court last month.
He refuted the accusations.
Not only were bragging rights to having created the most well-known virtual money in the world at stake, but also intellectual property rights.
Following closing remarks on Thursday, Mr. Justice Mellor issued a brief verdict stating that Dr. Wright was not the person behind the pseudonym or the one who designed the Bitcoin system in its early iterations.
