The 33-year-old actor, best known for his parts in Avengers: Age of Ultron and Kick-Ass, is reportedly still deciding whether or not to accept the legendary position. However, a source informed The Sun that Bond is Aaron’s job, should he decide to accept it.
“The formal offer is on the table, and they are waiting to hear back,” the person continued.
A script is reportedly currently being worked on for a new 007 film that Eon Productions, the company that makes the Bond movies, is getting ready to shoot.
“As far as Eon is concerned, Aaron is going to sign his contract in the coming days and they can start preparing for the game,” the source for The Sun continued.
According to the source, Taylor-Johnson is “an incredibly talented actor.” They described him as the “perfect person to play Bond and will pick up well from where Daniel Craig left off” .
Last week, Taylor-Johnson was questioned by Numero magazine on rumors that connected him to the role. “I find it charming and wonderful that people see me in that role,” he replied in response. It’s a huge compliment that I accept.”
