The FIA said that the three arrested persons, Mehmood Ahmed, Amanullah, and Qasim Ali, were involved in visa fraud and human trafficking.
According to an FIA spokeswoman, the accused Mehmood accepted Rs 2.5 million from an individual in exchange for aiding in obtaining a Canadian job visa.
The statement claimed that the other two defendants, Amanullah and Qasim Ali, received Rs 900,000 in exchange for jobs and support in Iraq.
Meanwhile, raids are underway to apprehend other acquaintances associated to the accused persons.
Previously, the FIA collected details on cases filed against government officials and politicians from FIA zonal directors across Pakistan.According to the facts, the Director General of the FIA addressed a letter to the FIA’s zonal directors, requesting details on the cases registered as well as ongoing investigations against government officials and lawmakers across the country.
