Masood Khan, Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States, stated that the two countries have a “magnificent past and bright future,” with both sides working to improve bilateral ties in trade, investment, renewable energy, healthcare, education, and science and technology.
Ambassador Masood made the statements while addressing at a reception at the Pakistan embassy in Washington on Pakistan Day, which is observed on March 23 to commemorate the Lahore Resolution of 1940.
Paying tribute to Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah for his unrivalled resolve and leadership, the ambassador emphasized the significance of the Pakistan Resolution, describing it as a watershed moment that led to the establishment of an independent state.
Expressing gratitude for the US State Department’s efforts to enhance bilateral relations, Khan reiterated Islamabad’s resolve to a “peaceful neighbourhood”.
