As the government reaches a staff level agreement with the final instalment to be received next month, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif disclosed on Tuesday the government’s plans to proceed with another program with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
Speaking about the lender’s activities in Washington, the premier stated that the program had certain “limitations” in order to maintain economic stability.
“We must carry out a second IMF program. Without one, it won’t be feasible. The prime minister stated, “Rome was not built overnight,” while accepting the Tax Excellence Awards in Islamabad today.
He restated that steps would be taken to guarantee that, in addition to emphasizing the nation’s economic expansion, job opportunities, and inflation control,.
