The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah announced the opening of applications for seasonal jobs related to the forthcoming holy month, the News reported. Hajj is the Muslims’ yearly pilgrimage, and there are only a few months remaining to complete it.

The ministry is accepting applications online through a window that is open until Ramadan 18 (March 28) for those who are interested.

Which positions are available during the 2024 Hajj?
The ministry claims that these temporary positions, which will be based in Makkah, Madinah, and Jeddah, will provide a range of functions for the facilitation of the Hajj trip.

To ensure a more seamless pilgrimage, these job postings include positions for managers, customer support agents, mechanical technicians, engineers, and drivers.

What qualifications are required for these positions?

According to the ministry’s qualifying requirements, Saudi nationals who have completed high school or above, meet the physical and health requirements, and have a valid driver’s license for private, heavy, or motorbike vehicles are eligible to apply for these positions.

A personal interview is also required, and candidates must be between the ages of 22 and 45.

Gulf News reports that the ministry favors applicants who have worked on Hajj and Umrah-related projects in the past and who speak fluently in languages used by pilgrims, such as Uzbek, Persian, Chinese, or Malay.
