According to a Ministry of Finance spokeswoman, the National Economic Survey for the previous fiscal year will be announced on June 9 and the federal government will unveil the budget for the fiscal year 2025–2026 on June 10.
The announcement coincides with still-unresolved negotiations with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
“Key fiscal targets could not be finalized despite today’s final round of budget talks with the IMF,” the spokeswoman said. It is now anticipated that negotiations will continue into next week with the international lender.
