CEO Babar Sahib Din acknowledged the decision, saying that the incentives are being given to Christian employees only because of the importance of Good Friday and Easter.
As a thank you for their hard work and devotion, bonuses will be given to 9,199 sanitary workers, 73 supervisors, 250 drivers, and six helpers.
Additionally, before the Good Friday holiday, CEO Babar Sahib Din stressed that the entire city would undergo a zero waste operation. Each employee’s shift would be extended by a minimum of two hours in order to accommodate the thorough cleaning procedure.
The CEO also said that 266 churches in the city would be cleaned in time for Easter. Additionally, manual sweeping and scraping tasks are set to be completed in 78 Christian colonies to enhance cleanliness and hygiene standards.
