ISLAMABAD: In order to accelerate the first phase of Saudi investments under the new structure, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif stated on Tuesday that Islamabad and Riyadh needed to collaborate closely.
The prime minister said these things during a meeting with a high-ranking Saudi team that was visiting Pakistan on official business and was led by Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, the country’s foreign minister.
The two-day visit follows PM Shehbaz’s recent trip to Saudi Arabia, when the Kingdom reaffirmed its commitment to expedite the first phase of its $5 billion investment in Pakistan.
Geo News also discovered earlier last month that Saudi Arabia was anticipated to contribute $1 billion to the Reko Diq project, according to sources.
